The WEP is a 40mm Wireless Electric Projectile. This industry leading ammunition round was developed to answer the growing need for an effective, wireless, extended range electrical incapacitation solution. Incorporating SDI’s patented technologies allows for this ammunition round to deliver operational success at distances up to 50 meters (165 feet). The WEP delivers the target with two forms of energy; kinetic and electric.
• When the WEP engages a target, the projectile’s multiple mini-harpoon mechanism is released, affixing to the target’s clothing or body. Simultaneously, the built-in incapacitation system releases a high voltage, low energy pulse which imitates the electro-neural impulses used by the human body.
• Whatever the target’s pain tolerance or state of mind, the electrical pulse safely overrides the target’s nervous system, inducing an immediate harmless muscle spasm, causing the subject to comply with authorities.
