The BIP MO Malodorant round contains a highly noxious payload that delivers an appalling odor. This product is unique to any other 40mm round of its kind on the market. It is a safer alternative to tear gas rounds and aerosol pepper spray. On impact with a target, the pungent liquid is dispersed in a concentrated area on or around the target.
Any offenders that swarm or storm border positions would be deterred by the BIP MO’s effects. This could provide an additional option to border control agents and enhance their homeland security capabilities. It would be equally effective against stone throwers, a threat that all border control personnel must address, and for which they have received criticism for their use of lethal force.
